Description

The percentage of white blood cells that are neutrophils — your body’s first responders to infections, especially bacterial ones.

Neutrophils are the rapid-reaction white cells. A spike often means your body is fighting off a bacterial infection. A low count may indicate a risk for infections or an immune system issue.

First responders to bacterial infections and acute inflammation. To help detect infections, inflammation, stress responses, and bone marrow activity. It’s one of the most important parts of the CBC differential.
